Organic Architecture looks to natural forms and patterns as primary influences in design. Many of these forms, as chaotic as they may seem, actually follow simple laws of geometry. Some archetypical forms in nature include: the meander, the explosion, and of course the spiral. Much of my design preparation begins with identifying organic forms related to the site or the intention of the client. It becomes a "thoughtless" process, or rather a "feeling" process. These are mostly sketches from my sketchbook; some just studies in form, some created with just a compass, others visionary design, and others just a meditation on a particular element.
