In February of 2002, I began to focus primarily on straw bale design. My friend Andrew Morrison had a plan to create a development of 15 straw bale homes called "The Straw Bale Village" in the historic town of Jacksonville, OR. He asked me to join the team as the lead home designer. After three long years of planning and jumping through many hoops and learning a lot, the project began and in July of 2006, the first two families moved into their new straw bale home.
Also, besides that project I have designed a number of straw bale homes all over the country. Many of them are under construction and I have presented galleries of the construction process.
