This straw bale cottage in Mancos, Colorado was designed as a compact, energy-efficient residence using natural building systems. The project includes detailed wall sections and residential drawings developed for performance-focused construction.
This is the Applegate Cottage, one of my all time best selling designs. The Plans are available for sale on Strawbale.com. Of all of the Applegate plans that we have sold, this is one of the best executed build. They poured their love and dreams into each stage of construction. They had really great attention to detail on the finish. The undulating natural walls feel warm and safe, and the cozy quaint design offers all the amenities of a larger house within a small footprint.
