This straw bale cottage on Whidbey Island, Washington was designed to respond to a marine climate while maintaining high energy performance. The design includes detailed wall assemblies and construction drawings suitable for residential permitting.
This is another beautiful iteration of my best selling Applegate Cottage design. This is probably the most true to the original design as have been built. They loved it just the way it was, no modifications needed! They did a wonderful job on the finish work and really tied the landscaping in to the overall project.
