This was a project in Oregon along the Columbia River. My clients were the sort that liked to get their hands dirty. They had just finished building a guest house on their property, in which they were living, when they decided to build their straw bale home. This design is pretty simple, a 1 full bedroom with an upstairs loft that has an office, or second bedroom if you wish, a sitting library, and full bath. A classic farmhouse style roofline and a large deck outside to capture the views of the river and Cascade mountains in the distance.
